Daisy-chaining Redstone Engines[edit]
As of mindcrack pack 8.0.1 and 8.1.1 I can daisy chain redstone engines. I couldn't with 7.x but now I can, I don't have any other mods. Sources don't matter, just make sure to do real testing, in my FTB they can.
Ora the Owlish[edit]
I just wanted to thank you for your kind welcome and the tip about Talk pages. I like this place already! ;) --Ora the Owlish (talk) 12:54, 24 March 2013 (CET)
- No problem! If there's any questions or if you have suggestions on what we can do better, you can either go to the Wiki Discussion Forum or visit the Chat. I'm usually idling on there. --Artsja (talk) 13:52, 24 March 2013 (CET)
Block log[edit]
I was just looking at recent changes, and saw you blocked 79.253.147.162 for vandalism. Their only edit seems legit, so am I missing something, or were you trying to block a different IP? --timrem (talk) 23:32, 24 March 2013 (CET)
- It must've been a mistake. Looks like I skipped a line when trying to block another IP. Thanks for the notification! --Artsja (talk) 23:51, 24 March 2013 (CET)
- Or their vandalism was undone and removed from their edit history.
- Speaking of, why did you block someone indefinitely and then removed it two and a half hours later?
- Anyways I just now reblocked them for harassment edits, but only for two weeks.

Bees - stop collapsing them[edit]
You need to stop collapsing all the bee species by default. 90% of the bees don't have their own dedicated page so you have to use the Bee Species page to locate them. If you don't know what category of bee you're trying to look up then you have to uncollapse over 50 categories to try and find your bee. That's nonsense and I'll ask you undo that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.70.144.200 (talk · contribs)
- The wiki strives to enable the best representation of information. It isn't exactly our job to cater to those who don't make any effort to figure out the species on their own. As well, there is a search bar at the top. If you need to find a page, you should just type it in. Defeats the purpose of having to go to a page just to be redirected. - If you disable javascript in your browser, 50.70.144.200, the sections won't collapse. --timrem (talk) 04:23, 17 April 2013 (CEST)
- I do agree with you. Originally the Bee Species page was set up so that you had one collapsed table for each mod. I changed it to that now. This way, spoilers are retained ((unless you want to look at just one specific branch/bee, this should be solved via separate bee pages)) and the page is shorter and easier to navigate. I undid your edits because "mw-collapsibled" is not a valid class (I assume it might've been a typo on your part), and also due to spoilers as mentioned before. Perhaps just try to watch your tone a little next time though. Your suggestion comes off as very bossy, though I'm sure you weren't trying to be. The wiki is a cooperative project that we're all working on together so it's important to keep all discussion constructive. This goes for everyone, including me.
- In response to the other things mentioned here, it is our job to cater to all people who play FTB and want to find information on it, regardless of their play style and preferences. We want to provide information in a manner that is useful and accessible to everyone. This includes both people who want to figure out things by themselves first and those who want to read up before starting something. Convenience is an important aspect that we should always keep in mind. --Artsja (talk) 15:02, 17 April 2013 (CEST)
- Artsja, You're right I could have worded that better so I offer you my apologies and gratitude for re-working the layout of the page. I personally feel this is a far better setup. Though if you're trying to retain the ability to hide spoilers as best as possible while maintaining usability isn't there a way you could just add an "Expand All" option to the header while leaving the rest of the setup as it were? (I'm not a wiki expert)
- In response to MadCrayolaz - I already mentioned that the search is useless for a good variety of bees as they don't have pages. The only source of information is the bee species page.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.70.144.200 (talk · contribs)
- Don't worry about it! Thanks for the suggestion. As for an "expand all" function, I would like to do that but I don't think it's possible unless you add custom Javascript for it. I'm no coder though so unfortunately that's nothing I'm going to mess with anytime soon. It would be cool if someone could look into that.

- Hopefully we can soon have the individual bee pages worked out as well. I do plan on working on that myself once I have more time again. Until then, any help on improving those is appreciated. --Artsja (talk) 22:37, 17 April 2013 (CEST)
