On Default it fills up with energy from the network. If you however attach a Redstone signal (lever on the battery) it will spit out all the energy into the network. In the future it will also be able to fill the network automatically on demand. Depending on the energy contained, the texture has 3 different states: Red is low power, Yellow is medium power, and Green is high power. Warning: The 1.6.4 version of this item is glitched; it may not show the different colors. This item may also crash your game if used in 1.6.4. However, the Resonant Energy Cell is a great, if not better replacement for the same purpose.
