Lens of Certain Death is an item added by the Actually Additions mod. Lenses from the mod can be installed on the Atomic Reconstructor by right-clicking on it. When Lens of Certain Death is installed, Reconstructor's laser will deal a ton of damage to any creature on impact.

The laser deals enough damage to kill a player. Only a full set of armor such as Avaritia's Infinity one can provide enough protection to prevent death.
When a player is killed by the laser, there are specific death messages that can appear in the chat, for example:

• "Atomically reconstructing people like *PLAYER_NAME* doesn't appear to work"

or

• "The Atomic Reconstructor caught *PLAYER_NAME* in its sight"
