Talk:Magma Crucible

But is it really possible to use 5 magmatic dynamos to create infinite power? Cause the magma crucible can only generate lava for one dynamo in a time! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.91.246.159 (talk · contribs) at 17:06, 7 July 2015

It was previously viable to dupe lava this way. It's been nerfed in more recent versions. --TehRawrz (talk) 18:57, 7 July 2015 (CEST)

"Renewable"[edit]

First off, does one really even need lava to be a renewable resource? There's an absurd amount of it in the Nether, most of which is in convenient-to-pump lakes/oceans, and it's not like you can craft a Crucible without materials unique to the Nether. Second, isn't the crucible more useful as a means to make certain fluids, like destabilized redstone? Third, I don't think the Crucible makes it renewable, as you need to fill it with Netherrack, which I'm pretty sure isn't renewable. I mean I guess I could imagine someone pumping out the Nether's lava, then Quarrying the place out, and putting most of the 'rack into a magma crucible. But I should think it would take an absurdly long time for it to come to that, with the other power options available, and just how much can be produced from the lava readily available in a reasonable "fetch radius" of the Nether.

Crucible can be filled with cobblestone too. --MultiDragon (talk) 08:43, 22 June 2017 (CEST)

Okay, thanks. Still don't know why making lava renewable instead of just abundant is more important than its other functions.

You can change that btw. --MultiDragon (talk) 10:42, 22 June 2017 (CEST)
