Sulfur is part of the XyCraft mod, and is made by smelting Gunpowder, in a 1:1 ratio. It can be smelted in all the furnaces in the game except RedPower 2 furnaces like the Alloy Furnace and Blulectric Furnace.

One of the main uses of Sulfur is to make Sulfur Torches. These are made like vanilla Torches, but the Sulfur replaces the Coal, and gives 8 Sulfur Torches per craft instead of the regular 4 torches. They give off more light, but also produce Sulfur Goo.
