Shale Oil is a resource block that can be fracked to produce BuildCraft Oil. It generates on the bedrock layer and is fairly rare. In order to frack Shale Oil, a Modular Socket must be placed above it. The Modular Socket must have a Fracker installed on the bottom, a Fluid Input, and Fluid Output installed on any other sides. Water or Slickwater must be pumped into an internal tank for the Fracker to work.

Trivia

• This item can be harvested with a QuarryPlus with the Silk Touch enchantment, however it will turn into Shale Gas, which can be placed back down and fracked for Natural Gas.
