Hot or Not is a mod that causes the player to take burn damage whenever they have any hot fluids in their inventory such as a Lava Bucket. Removing the hot item from the player's inventory will immediately stop the burn damage.

To prevent taking this damage, the player can craft Mitts and equip them with their offhand. While the mitt is held in the player's offhand it will prevent the danger of holding hot liquids, but it will also decrease in durability when doing so.

Any fluids properly coded to have high-temperatures similarly to lava will also be affected by this mod. If an item is affected by this mod it will have the text "Too hot to handle" in its tool tip.
