The Carpenter's Hatch is a block added by the Carpenter's Blocks mod.
It acts as a traditional trapdoor from vanilla Minecraft, but it can customized to use the texture and other properties of any blocks used on it by right-clicking on it with a block in hand.
Like many of the other Carpenter's additions, clicking on this with a Carpenter's Hammer will alter its appearance, toggling between different styles.
