Blue Power is a mod for Minecraft developed by the Qmunity team. It is a continuation of the design space pioneered by RedPower 2 and is built around the same trio of features that made the original mod popular: colored Redstone wiring, microblock-based logic gates, and a pneumatic item-routing network. The mod adds its own world-generation ores, gem-tier tools and decorative basalt and marble block sets alongside its Redstone and automation content.
Wiring
Blue Power's wiring system relies on Forge Multipart so wires, tubes and gates can share the same block and run flush against the surface they are attached to. Wires come in three flavors that do not directly interact with each other: Red Alloy Wire carries a single Vanilla redstone signal, Bluestone Wire carries the same signal but only between Blue Power components, and Infused Teslatite Wire transmits the mod's own Blutricity-equivalent power. Each wire variant is also available as a 16-channel bundled version, as a freestanding version that does not need a host block, and in any of the sixteen Vanilla dye colors so that crossing wires can be kept on independent channels.
Logic
The mod's logic system is built out of microblock gates rather than separate blocks, supporting the standard set of binary gates, latches, timers, cells and a wireless transceiver family that operates on either a single channel or a 16-channel bundled signal. Multiple gates can be combined into a single tile through the Integrated Circuit system, available in 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7 sizes. Designs are crafted at the Circuit Table by clicking the gate to be produced, then assembled inside a circuit block at the same table. The Circuit Database block can copy and share circuit templates between worlds and across servers.
Item routing
Blue Power adds a pneumatic tube network that is closer in feel to RedPower 2 than to most modern transport mods. Pneumatic Tubes carry items in a network of physical pellets that can be observed travelling through the pipes; Restriction Tubes steer routing decisions; the Magtube and Accelerator move items at high speed over long distances. The network is fed and managed by a large family of routing blocks that combine to form an inventory bus, alongside world-interaction blocks that break, place, deploy or ignite at a target.
Crafting and storage
The Project Table is an enhanced crafting bench: a recipe is set as a template and any items consumed by repeated crafts are pulled from the table's internal inventory. The Auto Project Table behaves the same when used by hand but produces from the output slot when driven by automation, making it a good fit for tube-fed mass crafting. The Alloy Furnace combines metals into the mod's alloy ingots and recycles metallic items back into raw ingots.
Lighting
Blue Power adds a coloured lighting set in three form factors: full-block Lamps, thin-line Cage Lamps that sit flush against any surface, and recessed Fixtures. Each is available in all sixteen Vanilla dye colors, in a Redstone-positive and an Inverted variant, and the full-block Lamp additionally has an RGB version that picks its colour from a bundled signal. Naturally generated Lumar crystals add a sixteenth source of decorative light that does not require a Redstone signal at all.
Tools and weapons
Blue Power adds a full gem-tool tier in Ruby, Sapphire and Amethyst, each with the standard pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe and sword. The mod also introduces three new tool families used across all tiers: Sickles harvest a 3x3 area of crops or leaves in one swing, Saws cut wood faster than an axe and unlock additional plank and slab recipes, and the Athame is a dagger that deals bonus damage to undead. The Screwdriver is used to rotate and configure most of the mod's machines and gates; the Silky Screwdriver additionally preserves a block's NBT data when picked up.
Worldgen
Eight new ores generate in the Overworld: Copper, Silver, Zinc, Tungsten, Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire and Teslatite. Basalt generates as volcanic deposits, and the Indigo Flower and Flax crop are added as natural plants used to produce dye and canvas respectively. Each metal ore can be processed in the Alloy Furnace, and Zinc additionally has a four-step grinding chain that increases yield when combined with other mods' ore-processing machinery.
