Tool Wooden Axe
Stackable Yes (64)
Source Mod Thaumcraft 4

The Arcane Worktable is a Vis-capable version of the Crafting Table and is used for crafting of magic items and blocks.

Mechanics[edit]

The Arcane Worktable functions in the same way as a Crafting Table, but allows the use of a wand so that Thaumcraft items that require Vis can be crafted. The wand has to be advanced enough to hold enough Vis to craft the item. The Arcane Worktable can also be used to craft any other item without a wand in the same way as a normal crafting table. Items and wands placed in the Arcane Worktable will stay there when the GUI is closed, unlike a vanilla crafting table.

Without a wand, the default vis cost of each required primal aspect in a recipe will be shown. With a wand in the table, these numbers will update to reflect any vis cost penalties or discounts that will be applied. If the wand does not contain enough vis of a certain aspect, that aspect will flash; if the wand contains enough of an aspect for the recipe, that aspect's icon will remain solid.

Thaumonomicon Entry[edit]

To create an Arcane Worktable, simply right-click with a wand on a table you have placed in the world. The Arcane Worktable serves the same purpose as a normal crafting table, with a few key exceptions.

Apart from normal crafting recipes, it can also craft some of the items unique to Thaumaturgy. To do that you need to place a wand in the top-right slot. This will allow you to craft items that require vis by drawing the energy directly from the wand.

The vis required to craft an item will be shown in the six circular symbols surrounding the crafting grid.
