The Pickaxe Kit is a container added by Forestry which contains a Survivalist's Pickaxe. It can be obtained by crafting a Carton with a Survivalist's Pickaxe in a shapeless recipe, or by crafting the Survivalist's Pickaxe in the Carpenter with a Carton. Using the Carpenter to craft the Pickaxe Kit requires no liquid and approximately 532MJ of power.
To remove the Survivalist's Pickaxe from the Pickaxe Kit, right click with the Pickaxe Kit selected. The Pickaxe Kit allows the player to carry 24 Survivalist's Pickaxes in a single inventory space. The Pickaxe Kit is a valid item for the Miner's Backpack, allowing it to be picked up automatically while mining.
