Entity Detector is a block added by the Random Things mod. It emits a redstone signal whenever entities inside a configurable area match a custom filter, and can be set to deliver that signal as either a weak or a strong output.
The block has a single inventory slot for an Entity Filter that defines which entities are counted, and a checkbox in the GUI toggles strong-output mode so the signal can reach the block behind solid neighbours. Breaking the block drops its filter and notifies adjacent blocks of the state change.
GUI
Right-clicking opens a panel with the Entity Filter slot, a configuration grid for the scan area and an output-mode toggle.
