The Wand of Excavation is a wand from Thaumcraft 3. It allows you to dig out dirt and stone quickly, from up to 10 blocks away. It's great for mining, and you can easily dig out an area for building. It takes longer to mine harder materials. You move very slowly while using it.

"You have successfully adapted the enchantment on an apprentice wand. You have turned it into a tool capable of moving vast amounts of earth and stone with little effort.

Simply point it at what you want to exacave and the magic does the rest. Tougher materials take longer to mine, and anything other than earth, stone or similar minerals will take much longer to mine. This wand, like all other special wands, cannot recharge."
