The Sludge Boiler is a block added by the MineFactory Reloaded mod.
It is used to convert the Sludge generated by some machines such as the Harvester, into more useful materials. It accepts most mods' forms of energy. The Sludge Boiler can accept power from any side and will use up to 20 RF per tick. It can also accept sludge from any side, and it has an internal buffer of 4,000 Millibucket. It will also automatically eject the items it produces into an adjacent inventory or a transport system such as an Itemduct or a Pipe. While active, the Sludge Boiler emits a poison and hunger effect to all mobs and Players within 3 blocks. Because of this, it is recommended to create fully automated and isolated rooms for sludge boilers, with their outputs being transported to a safer area for access.
