Seat module takes the top side of the cart.
It is required to be able to mount the cart. There are no other ways of riding a modular cart other than making one with a Seat module.
To get in the cart open its interface by right-clicking and hit the Mount button. When you are in the cart it changes to the Dismount button.
You can also get out of cart by breaking it. All items stored inside cart's different modules (like coal in the engine) will pop out.
