The ME Controller is the core machine required for any Applied Energistics network. It takes in energy in form of EU or MJ and provides it to the machines connected to it. The current power level is indicated by a green bar on the side of the block. When taken by itself, the ME Controller does nothing. A network can never have more than one ME Controller at once.
To power other machines, they have to be touching either the ME Controller or another machine that is connected to the Controller. They can also be connected using ME Cables. They are then considered part of the ME Network.
When taken by itself, the ME Controller requires a constant input of 6 AE Units/tick to function, which is equivalent to 3 EU/t or 1.2 MJ/t.
It can take EU of any package size and will not explode, even at extreme voltages.
When other machines are connected to the ME Controller, its energy consumption will increase accordingly.
The ME Controller has an internal storage of 8,000 AE Units = 4,000 EU = 1,600 MJ.
1 EU = 2 AE Units
1 MJ = 5 AE Units
The GUI can be accessed by right-clicking the ME Controller. It shows the current energy usage and displays all machines which are currently connected to the ME Controller network. The ME Controller is considered 'online' when it has enough power to run.
The inventory slot on the right allows you to attune a ME Wireless Access Terminal to the ME Controller.
