The BioFuel Generator will generate MJ/RF when supplied with BioFuel or Ethanol, at a ratio of 152,000 MJ / bucket. (For reference, the Combustion Engine will generate 200,000 MJ / bucket of biofuel.) The generator has internal storage for both Biofuel (4 buckets) and MJ (1000 MJ) and RF (10,000RF).

In 1.4.7 (i.e. FTB Ultimate 1.1.2) the BioFuel Generator generates a mere 1,333 MJ / bucket of BioFuel at a rate of 16 MJ / t.

In recent Modpacks(Minecraft 1.6.4 or 1.7.x) it wil generate 160 RF/t or 16 MJ/t, and a total of 800,000 RF or 80,000 MJ. (Note that the Leadstone Energy Conduit only has a in/out capacity of 80 RF/t. Connecting them to two sides of the machine would fix it, or consider upgrading the conduits.)

In 1.7.10 FTB Infinity it will generate 160RF/t for a total of 7000 ticks (5.83 mins) for a total of 1,120,000 RF or 112,000 MJ / 280,000 EU.

In modpacks with MineFactory Reloaded 2.7.5 or older (Tech World 2) the BioFuel Generator will accept any fluid (water included) and generate 80,000 MJ or 800,000 RF per bucket.
This has been fixed in version 2.7.6.


This generator, in versions 1.6.4 and above, is the most efficient way of generating power out of BioFuel.

When making an automatic tree farm with Planter and Harvester, it's safe to pipe 50% of the collected saplings out to make BioFuel, then use them in this generator. Generated power can be used to power the Planter and Harvester without an external power source required, and the machines themselves would always have enough saplings to still work. Note the saplings are best squeezed into Biomass with a Squeezer, then produced into BioFuel in a Still for 75mB of BioFuel(Or a Distillation Tower for 100mB if GregTech is installed), rather than processing in a BioReactor, which gets you only 5mB of BioFuel per sapling. However the process itself consumes a little power.
